Landscape architecture as a living system.

We design landscapes as living systems. Place, use, planting, water, materials and climate are coordinated from the outset to create outdoor environments with identity, resilience and long-term value across Spain, Sweden and Greece.

Landscape architecture by Wolfblanc Architects

Wolfblanc Architects

What we deliver

  1. Programme and site analysisWe map topography, sun, wind, soil, drainage and existing vegetation alongside the programme before any design decision is made.
  2. Concept and scheme designWe develop the landscape concept in parallel with architecture, access, terracing, planting strategy, water features, materials palette and lighting.
  3. Technical documentationFull construction documentation: grading plans, drainage, planting schedules, irrigation, paving and boundary specifications.
  4. Approvals and tenderWe manage planning and environmental submissions and coordinate landscape tender packages with the wider project team.
  5. Construction supervision and handoverSite monitoring during construction, contractor coordination, plant establishment review and handover documentation.

Our approach

Site. Climate. Use. Long-term resilience. Landscape defines access, movement, shade, privacy, views, biodiversity and maintenance. We develop these decisions as a spatial and technical project from the programme stage, integrating architecture, landscape and well-being instead of adding planting as decoration at the end.

Frequently asked questions

From which project phase is landscape design integrated?

Landscape design is integrated from the programme phase, alongside the architecture. Incorporating it late generates costly compromise solutions. Our approach starts from site analysis before defining any spatial element.

What is the difference between landscape design and gardening?

Landscape design is exterior architecture: it defines uses, circulation, water features, structural planting, ground materiality and the visual relationship with the surroundings and the building. Gardening is one part of the execution. We deliver the complete project, including technical documentation for licences and construction supervision.

Do you work on single-family homes or only large-scale projects?

We work on both. From single-family homes with private gardens to large residential complexes, hotels and public spaces. The methodology is the same: site analysis, programme, conceptual proposal, technical documentation and construction supervision.

Do you include the irrigation and exterior services design?

Yes. The landscape technical documentation includes the irrigation project, exterior lighting, surface drainage and, when applicable, plumbing for water features. All coordinated with the main architecture project.

What is WELL AP certification and what does it contribute to landscape design?

WELL AP certification accredits competence in human-centric design, with criteria for natural light, biophilia, air quality and thermal comfort. In landscape design it enables the integration of planting, water and materials that improve user well-being based on scientific evidence.
